Current Project: Obtained Ph.D in Social Work through Barry University with a dissertation on “How does the presence of a canine impact the therapeutic experience of the first responder during trauma-informed treatment?”

Janus Moncur, owner of Co-Creative Coaching, Counseling, and Consulting is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Supervisor (LCSW-S), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and Certified Human Animal Intervention Specialist (CHAIS).  She holds her Master of Social Work from Barry University, Master’s in Psychology, Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, and Associate’s in the Arts. She is an Adjunct Professor for Barry University. She has obtained additional training in Rapid Resolution Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy, Animal-Assisted Therapy, National Canine Crisis Response, Pet Loss Bereavement Counseling, Developmental Play Therapy, and Level I Storytelling. She believes the continued pursuit of knowledge and understanding is crucial for personal and professional development as well as overall health and well-being.

Janus is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), Rapid Resolution Therapy Practitioner Program with the Institute for Rapid Resolution Therapy (IRRT), and Association of Pet Loss Bereavement (APLB). Janus started with her first partner, Mack (retired), and continues with her current partner, Pandora’s Peter Bear – “Bear” as a volunteer with National Animal Assisted Crisis Response as a Certified Crisis Response Canine team and Instructor.
