I know most folks try to get out of jury-duty. I wanted to. It is a hassle – cuts into your schedule – and the fifteen dollars doesn’t begin to cover the lost wages and gas…BUT it is the duty of qualified American Citizens… so I went. Who knew that I would get to spend the day watching movies and reading? It was great!
One of the movies that the courthouse showed was Secretariat. Of course, I was thrilled but a bit embarrassed as I tried to nonchalantly wipe away tears. But I did learn something. I never knew that Secretariat got to his feet very quickly as a foal. And look at what a winner he turned out to be!
So I got to thinking. It only makes sense. So many of the “Winners” in the world got to where they are by getting up on their feet and taking the steps necessary to live their dreams. And they did not jump up and start running. Like a baby foal – most of us are pretty awkward, gangling, even clumsy. We might fall down, get turned around, or start off in the wrong direction. But if we are persistent, we will prevail and find what we are 
looking for.
So whether you want to start a new project, stop doing a bad habit, overcome some challenge – or just get unstuck…
The point is…you have to get up and take those steps. I know you can do it!
