Better Living In The Sweet Success of Self Sync
Ignorance Can Really Be B.L.I.S.S

Ah, Sweet Success… It’s out there to be had. But be careful of the Nay-Sayers and Dooms-Dayers. There is a case to be had to be Ignore-Rant. What? Yes, being Ignore-Rant can be better for your health, prosperity and sweet success. Ignore the Rant – rant being all the negative news – the nay-saying and dooms-daying that can surround us when times get tough.

Listening and reliving bad news – gossip – negative people – feeding into the media hype – whatever you call it…don’t do it. So many companies are going under, so many people are losing jobs, so many families are struggling to pay the bills, so many just want to be able to keep their homes and eat. No one can deny that this is happening. This is a tough time for many and most folks know people close to them that have lost employment. Many ARE those people. But you can get Sucked Into the Gunk and Get Stuck – or choose to focus on the positive and move forward.

You may or may not have had the privilege of spending part of your childhood on a farm. I recommend it highly. In fact, I think having creatures and critters dependant on you for their well-being is a great learning experience and character builder…but that’s for another time…

Being involved in farm life – particularly if there are cows to feed and take care of, can pose interesting situations. I’ll never forget watching a calf be born…miracle. I also won’t forget having to slough through the cow pen to put out hay to Mom Cow and Judy-Judy. After a hard rainstorm, the pen was pretty wet by the gate – I won’t go into graphic detail, but you can probably imagine the mixture of materials in the pen becoming even more soaked by a torrential downpour.

Well, I took it upon myself to take the “Ladies” their hay after one such storm. Needless to say, my little boots squished and sunk lower with each step I took. At one point – about halfway there, my foot came clear out of my boot which remained stuck in the gunk. My bootless foot sank into the cold wet yuck for just a few seconds. As I balanced on one leg with arms full of hay I quickly stuck my nasty foot back in my boot and yanked as hard as I could. That boot wasn’t coming out easy.

I had a decision to make. I could stand there and yell like an idiot hoping someone would come help me…but what they could do without ending up in the same predicament, I didn’t know and I didn’t want to be responsible for causing someone’s “death by laughter” …. I could drop the hay and ruin it while I wrestled with my boots – likely getting gunk ALL over my hands and clothes in addition to my un-salvageable boot and I’d still have to come back out to feed … or I could minimize the damage but just sucking it up to move forward and take care of what I knew needed to be done – and, of course, hosing off right after. I won’t even want to hear the jokes that are probably running through your mind…

Our daily lives can be that cow pen. We can get sucked into all the gunk and get stuck. We get mired in all the “junk” and bad news that goes on around us. We can feed on it just like the news stations feed on sensational stories.

Remember the coverage of any wonderful events that ran over and over for days? No? Me, neither. But I’m sure you can think of many tragedies that were played out over and over again until we could memorize the dialogue. Did you ever feel yourself becoming depressed or at least blue? Did it effect other parts of your life? Did you feel tired and less willing to take on new projects? Did you become less productive?

Did you ever stop to consider that the bad news or hyped drama might not have as detrimental of an effect on you if you were unaware of it? If you just went along doing what you would normally be doing – unaware of how afraid or how overly- cautious you might really be if you knew all the bad that was happening?

How about all the records that have been broken or the achievements that have happened by people that did not realize that they should not have been able to do what they did? Did you ever stop to wonder about all that you could accomplish if you did not have all the information telling you that you really shouldn’t be able to accomplish your dreams?

So my argument is that B.L.I.S.S. or Better Living in the Sweet Success or Self Sync is easier to accomplish when you are unaware that you shouldn’t be able to conquer your goals…because YOU CAN!! You just let yourself be convinced and beaten down by all the “junk”…you get caught up in the “gunk” and let yourself get stuck…

Sodon’t waste another day, another hour, or another minute buying into to why you can’t . YOU CAN!!

Don’t forget – Ignorance really can be B.L.I.S.S..– Better Living In the Sweet Success of “Self Success” – “Self Sync” – or maybe better- “Silenced Stuff”…whatever you prefer to call it. Your B.L.I.S.S. is out there… all you have to do is make up your mind to pull yourself out of the “gunk” and get done what you need to slough through to achieve success! And don’t be afraid to ask for help. (I wouldn’t laugh…)
